Comprehensive Case Consultations

Not every family needs long-term therapy — sometimes, you just need help figuring out what to do next. Our Comprehensive Case Consultation is a one-off session with our Principal Clinical Psychologist, designed for parents and caregivers who are feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or stuck. Whether you’re concerned about your child’s behaviour, struggling with school issues, navigating parenting differences, or dealing with system involvement (like court, NDIS or child protection), this session helps bring clarity.

You do not need to be starting therapy with us to book this session. It’s ideal for:
  • Families trying to work out what kind of support their child needs
  • Parents who aren’t sure where to start or who feel they’ve tried everything
  • Carers navigating complex systems or decisions
  • Parents needing an informed second opinion or support with planning
  • Referrers or professionals supporting a family with multiple layers of need

In the session, we’ll:
  • Clarify the key issues and priorities
  • Review relevant background and current concerns
  • Provide clear recommendations for first steps and initial intervention options
  • Help you decide whether therapy, parenting support, or referral is the right next move
  • Offer guidance on how to access services, even if it’s not through our clinic

You can choose:
  • A 50-minute consultation for a focused planning session
  • A 90-minute consultation for a deeper review and tailored support plan

You’re welcome to bring a case manager, advocate, or support person if you think it would be helpful.
Medicare rebates may apply under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, depending on the focus of the session.

These sessions are also useful for families wishing to access our service who are presenting with a complex situation regarding Family Court, parental consent, Child Protection involvement or other challenges that require careful consideration and planning.
